Default Question about straight razor smoothness

Why is it that a traditional straight razor gives smoother and less nicks shaves than a disposable blade straight razor?

I'm not so sure that is the case. With a disposible you shaving with a razor blade so it can be very unforgiving. I think if you adjust your technique for shaving the results will be the same with equal comfort.

Based on my (admittedly rusty) German translation skills, I read that as:

"All your base are belong to us."

Something got lost in the translation somewhere - I don't get it....

I'm going to guess and say that it means something like "The best tool in the world is one that is used by a skilled hand."

I jumped on Microsoft's Bing German to English translator. Bing Translator Here's the bona fide English translation from that site...

"The best tool becomes the jurisdiction in the hulking Gates hand."

Even though he wrote it, BeBerlin obviously doesn't know what that German sentence means. Bill Gates' company can't be wrong! Especially when they throw in "Gates" in the translation.

But, seriously, where did THAT translation come from? ... hulking Gates ...

    Money & market share = power ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Money & market share = (pathetic use of) power
