    Default Cracked Horn Scale

As I am quite the novice when it comes to any aspect of straight razors, I'm hoping some one will have the answer to this question.

Can this cracked horn scale be repaired ? Since the crack runs up and down from the pivot pin, it is likely in the worst possible place.

    Any help would be appreciated.

My method for a crack like that is to put some super glue on a toothpick and get it into the crack. Clamp it up or just squeeze tight for a few mins to let her dry, and then pivot the blade to make sure you've not frozen her up (if you ensure that the blade is not under the crack and don't glue too close to the pivot you shouldn't have a problem.

You can also apply even coats to the entire area of the scale or even the whole scale and then buff it down, but that's too much work for me.
