Default Interesting etching on a G. Wostenholm

I just got a George Wostenholm Frameback in the mail. On the blade, it says

    The Doubly Carbonized
    IXL Lecoultre Pattern
    ??????????????????

The third line is mostly worn off, but looks like

Made only ?????? Wostenholm & Son

I thought it was interesting that a Wosty says Lecoultre on her, since Lecoultre was, to the best of my knowledge, a French manufacturer of frameback razors. I'll post pics (hopefully) sometime soon.

Mine appears to have the same frame and thumbnotch, different stamp on the tang and different blade, though. I thought it was unusual to reference another maker - referencing other countries happens all the time.

I think Lecoultre was a Swiss maker of framebacks.

Ah yes, you are correct. I actually just saw one today that said Switzerland on her. My mistake - France French vs Swiss French... doh

I just went through a period when I had 3 of them. They have moved on though. They were unable to displace a no name French frameback from my rotation and found new homes.
