DePew's razor.
Many of you know this interesting razor. In many catalogues and directories were written, that these razors were made in USA, NY since 1882, the manufacture termination is not known.(?)
But not so long ago I saw this razor with a stamp!
It's very known stamp. What do you think about this fact?Alex Ts.

I was unaware that DePews were made in the US, but I also saw the one with the Allen stamp and thought it was quite strange. The blade appeared to have a legit DePews stamp on the tail and the "normal" DePews etching.

Yes, the razor was standard DePew's "The Perfect Razor", but with this stamp.

Thanked: 346They may have sold the name to Jos Allen at some point. I would lump this in with the Puma-Ducks and the Sheffield Watervilles etc.

Allen purchased the "NON-XLL" trademark from Unwin & Rodgers in 1884. May be, William H.DePew purchased this trademark too?

And today on eBay I see one more interesting fact. The same razor, but Joseph Rodgers.

I don't know, to me the tail on the two razors does not look the same. Similar, but not the same.
