I'm definitely interested in seeing the end result. I'm trying a restoration type project of my own as soon as the razor I bought gets here.

Thanked: 0well spent a lil bit of time on it today with the dremel tool and sum polish, really not making very fast progress, and really starting to think about some camel bone handles (found some good scale blanks on ebay) or maybe some horn instead of the cherry.
i have gotten most of the rust off, the main problem at the moment is trying to polish out the pitting on the bald, its very deep
a question does anyone have any idea how old this thing would be? looking around the web most the other pipe razors ive seen have had allot of stuff engraved on the blade
ive got some parts shiney and the blade disconected from the ragged out scales

Thanked: 0well, i was using the standard pads that came with the dremel, which cant have been too cours cause i used sum heavy grit on a large buffer and longer time earlier and took allot more off allot faster, i acutally had the blade fairly clean before i broke it...
now im kinda stuck do i cut it and make a really short small razor, or try and re gring the good steel into more narrow razor
