Thanked: 0Best place online to purchase a new razor.
Where is the best place online that sells a vast selection of razors? This will be my first razor, i don't buy junk and money is never an issue. I don't want some Chinese piece off of ebay. What would you buy and where would you go? Thanks guys, look forward to all your suggestions! Also what places would you recommend steering clear of, if any?

I'd also try here:
RasurPur Online Shop - The finest tools for a perfect shave
Rasage Poulin Fine Wet Shaving Supplies : Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Fendrihan, Classic Wet Shaving Supplies
All three are super to deal with. +1 on the the wiki, it has fantastic information to get you started off right.

I recommend buying from Martin at RasurPur Online Shop. Especially if you are located in Europe. I bought LeGrelot 1/4 grind from there, already skillfuly sharpened and Martin is very kind and helpful gentleman who doesn't mind exchanging mail before you finally settle your order
and after you receive the goods.

+1 on the Classifieds here on SRP
If you live in Europe, also +1 on www.rasurpur.de as Martin does provide great razors (shave-ready) and great service.
Another one in Europe, where I also bought a few straights and had a restoration done is www.theinvisibleedge.com. They sell very nicely restored Antique / Vintage razors, plus a very wide range of Dovos on one website and quite a nice selection of Thiers-Issard on another site. All of their razors are also sold shave-ready.
There is also a few other online shops, but I have not tried any yet. The three sources above are where I accumulated my wisdom (and my goodies!)

Brands of Straight Razors to avoid - Straight Razor Place Wiki
i would look threw the classifieds first before you look anywhere else as all razors i have seen sold there are good quality and most are shave ready.
