    Default Wacker, My Sweet

    Gentlemen,

My new 6/8" Heribert Wacker "Antik" with Spanish Point and buffalo horn scales arrived. Today I shaved with it. We're already in love.

My small straight razor collection includes three Thiers-Issards, two Dovos, one Boker and now one Wacker. I also own a Feather AC and a Monsieur Charles, both straights with replaceable blades.

After the Thiers-Issards, all of which came with minor flaws (although one with enough flaws that I had to return it for a replacement) I am extra careful in examining a new razor — within my capabilities as a straight razor pilgrim.

My Wacker is sweet in every way, from the shave to looks and workmanship. And that full hollow carbon steel blade sings coloratura soprano.

(I am not sure whether I am allowed to mention the vendor. If not, RSP moderators, please feel free to delete it.)

I bought the razor from John Crowley at the Shaving Shop. John is a gentleman and I like his service.

    It's a good day.

    Regards,

    Obie

Glad to hear you like your Wacker and the shave it gives you. I also have one and find the shave to be very comfortable. It is a quality razor that delivers big on the shave.

I've been drooling over this razor for quite sometime, after reading your post I might have to start saving up for it!

I've two Wacker razors and they're sharp and smooth.
But bear in mind, they are made of very hard steel.
They looove diamond paste as a finisher!

yes - Wacker steel is hard but I hope this does not deter people as they are nice shavers. I want to get the 1/4 hollow spanish point but he Mr Wacker does not want the pair split so I need to save the funds to buy both 1/4 hollows - oh the things we must do
