have been searching for a year. No clue. Perhaps some new blood here know about this razor

+1 to Croaker's words. Brighton was and continues to be today, namely a tourism honey pot. It is therefore highly likely that this razor is the work of a Sheffield cutler. It is very similar to one of my Joseph Rodgers razors, in that the entire tang is cased, fixed to the razor via a pin, rather than clad either side in a 'veneer.'
Definitely ivory. A nice razor to have in your collection.
It is quite similar to my Rodgers in the cased tang, detail between the tang and the blade, round point and scale shape. Mine is a wedge though.
