    Default Huge bummer...

I just got this Geo Worthington 5/8 spike Clearcut De Lux off Craigslist. It has mother of pearl on the shaft/tang, quite nice looking - and it has a HUGE crack! About 2/16 worth about 1/3 the distance to the toe. And the blade is chewed up at the end. It was super cheap (ultimately 10 bucks), but none the less...how do people let this happen? I don't have access to a camera now, but I hardly think it's worth the price of admission...just thought I'd sigh out loud...maybe I'll use the scales for another blade I have.

Just take a look at some of the 'pristine' razors on ebay and you'll see worse

perhaps you can turn lemon into lemonaide and use it to practice honing, stroping,..etc.

Sorr to hear about the scales, but the price is right for a practice straight.

    Good Luck,
