Razor Porn: Joseph Allen 6/8 'Barber's Rattler'

Found this one at an antique store this weekend. It's a Joseph Allen & Co 6/8 'Barber's Rattler' with barber's notch. All prettied up and in a new set of TI scales. Did I mention that this thing is HUGE!!! It's every bit as large as my Dovo Bismark and a bit heavier. You can tell by the rivet job that it BARELY fit in the TI scales. Shaves better than the Dovo that Lynn honed (no hack on Lynn) and I only used 2000 grit wet dry and some CrOx...best shaver I own

It's nearly impossible to see, but the blade has an etching of a sword with the words 'barber's rattler' etched above it....thought I would share since I've not seen a barber's rattler JA posted before.

The little jeweler's anvil comes in real handy to peen new rivets. I've drilled a 1/16" hole in one side to facilitate the addition of those tight Dovo replacement washers.
