Thread: Wedge blades today?

I happen to love wedges for the history and the look. Honing them is a PITA and shaving with them is alright but I do prefer a 1/4 or a full hollow. TI is definitely more cooperative in acquiescing to customer requests for one off razors as shown by the 7 day set with ivory scales that they made for a member some time back. In my inquiries to Steve the UK distributor for TI I found that if you have the $ they have the time and the willingness. I just have to get the $.

Dovo/Merkur is not as ready and willing but they aren't completely close minded to customer requests as this thread from my previous life shows here (on another forum). As things worked out the response to my experiment generated so much enthusiasm that Merkur came out with the 39C as a production razor. Something that they had no plans to do before my homemade parts razor.
