which has better "name"?
I currently have a Clauss barber's special "Bell & Bell" 5/8, a croghan cutly co 5/8, R.H. Whitney and a keen kutter. I realize that it depends on the person and there preferences to how each one shaves, but is there a hierachy of these blades from "better" to "less good"? I am currently thinking of restoring one/two of them and wanted to know which would be the most likely good candidates to start with?
Thanks for the awesome fountain of knowledge!

+1 to what Doc said. The one or two in the best condition with the fullest blade, least hone wear, least rust or pitting would be my choice.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 953what they said, but just on name I would say keen kutter and claus first. I should point out I don't have any of those four.
I also haven't met a solingen blade I didn't love.
