Thread: If You Could Have Only One Razor

Good question. I am myself in the process of looking for a one and only straight here and, if I canot find one which encompasses all my desired requirements, I would most likely opt for having a Custom specifically made to fit those requirements. As to why, it just has to do with my personal preferences which i was not able to find combined in one razor up to date.

Thanked: 25Easy choice for me: T.Hessen Bruch & Co that I bought from Max.
Vintage Straight Razors : T. Hessen Bruch Co : 7/8 : Half Hollow Ground : Faux Tortoise
It is the smoothest shave I have ever had, and the easiest to use: well balanced and almost never cuts me. Hmmm...maybe I should find more of these and eliminate all my others

If I had to choose it would be my Mastro Livi 8/8 because it shaves as good as it looks. And it looks even better "live" than the pictures.
I'm so glad I don't have to limit myself to only one.

Thanked: 1903A Dorko 8/8 like the one John Crowley sells. Thankfully mine has black scales, but it's the best razor in my arsenal. Grab one while they last

I find it a very good question! a question that helps me to observe my blades from different points of view. Today I'd keep my old Sheffield razor marked "Espagne Acier Fondu", funny reunion of UK manufacture, French language and spanish trademark. Square point, straight spine, rattler grind, short tail and very large bull's-eye washers on black horn.
