C-Mon Cadillac Razor
Gentlemen,
A while back I asked if anyone had heard of the C-Mon. I read a string of informative answers regarding the quality of the classic C-Mons.
I have a new question for you about this brand: Has anyone heard of a C-Mon Cadillac razor? Apparently this is one of the new productions of this razor.
Thanks.
Regards,
Obie

I bought one a while back. Fit and function are good, but like most razors the factory edge is not great. I am waiting for a few more razors I have purchased to arrive so I can send a batch out for honing. It looks as good as any new Dovo.

The vintage C-Mon Cadillac was quite a razor. Referring to the one made in Germany and distributed by Peter J. Michaels with the fancy scales typical of the genre.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

C-Mon Cadillac Razor
My dear Jimmy,
Is there a difference, then, between the classic C-Mon and the C-Mon Cadillac? Or are they the same razor?
The one about which I had inquired seems to be the new version of the old, I assume. Do you have any thoughts on the quality of this one? The new C-Mon has failed to receive reviews beyond the ordinary. If the new C-Mon and the C-Mon Cadillac are different razors, then what are your thoughts on the new C-Mon Cadillac?
Thanks.
Regards,
Obie

Obie, I don't have any experience with the current line of C-Mon razors. I have a number of the vintage pieces and they are all very good IME. I recall reading a review on the current C-Mons here .

C-Mon Cadillac
I've owned one for over a year. It was not a good shaver when I purchased it, however it now shaves very well since I have sharpened it myself. It was not very expensive and I think it is a good value for the money. It will not come shave-ready. So, expect to have it sharpened before using it.

Thanked: 346"Cadillac" and "Blackie" have been C-Mon models for a long time across several subcontractors. The vintage ones are really excellent, the currently available ones are functional and extremely inexpensive (IIRC mine cost $48 new). I have no idea who makes the current models.
