Thread: New or restored ?

As your main shaver, do you use a new, bought, razor (one you got new from the store) or do you use an old restored one? I for one, use a new one...

You need another option in your poll, both. I use a mixture of old and new.

My main razor is new but that should change very shortly, after my old ones get restored, the new one will go into semi retirement.

Mine are... thinking... all vintage with the exception of my Henkels Friodur which I believe is NOS or newly ground from an old blank. I can't afford to buy new, and I also prefer Sheffield blades (steel and style), which cannot be bought new (though many customs have a similar style).

I think a lot of people who are younger and can't afford a new razor would be using more old razors just because of the price difference.
