    Cool new guy with questions

I have a old straight razor my dad gave me. He told me it was my grandfathers and I was looking on information on it and if it can be used and\or restored. I was in the market for a new one and when gave it to me and I know they are not cheap so I hope I can restore this one to useable condition. The information on the razor is as fallows:

their is a man with a top hat and monocal on one side with BEAUBRUMMEL and a *35*

on the other side is written: T.M.REG US PATT OFF BRUMMELWERK

Their is a halve circle notch missing on the front of the blade I am hopeing this is not a broken blade. Any info is helpful and I can post pics if needed.

    Thanks,
    Brett

First off , welcome to SRP!!!! The razor you are asking about is well thought of and should be a quality shaver depending on what shape it is in. Post pictures if you can and I'm sure you will get plenty of advice on it. Knowing it belonged to your grandfather leads me to believe it will be more then worth restoring if need be.
