I thought that they were difficult to find also. Now I have 5 true Japanese straights and 4 custom Japanese styled straights. The most I paid on even a custom was $100(right place right time).
They are there, but 2 of mine are in really rough shape. I would have no problem getting back what I paid for them, but that is the truth about vintage Japanese straights. I have not seen anyone offering regrinds on trad Japanese straights.
Good luck finding one. They are my best, sharpest, and favorite shavers. I posted a pic of most of mine somewhere, however I am on an iPhone and don't want to search that much right now.

Thanked: 7Sorry about that. That's where I bought mine some months back; however, f.y.i. the seller also told me that he had 6 tamahagne Iwasakis on order!!! I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of them. (They're probably sold out because of the writeup I did for them - great service.)

Thanked: 326wedwards, check that link posted again.
Shipping at $10 is not bad. I'll get another one eventually.
I was dismayed to see these wrapped in that blue grip which I don't fancy.
Kanetaka is available in two sizes: 45mm and 50mm. For $20 extra it's up to you to decide whether 5cm of extra cutting edge is worth it.
Having shaved with Norikazu's Kanetake it wasn't any different from the Iwasaki. The only difference was 3cm in cutting edge. But it may vary for you.
