The Louis the XIV
I got my very own Robert Williams razor and although pictures have already been posted I am going to post some different ones. It is absolutely beautiful - something you would see on the dresser of French King Louis XIV - so it diserves it's own name - THE Louis XIV! Although I have come in contact with many Robert Williams razors I have never shaved with one myself. I can now tell you I have never shaved with a razor with an edge like it has. Not only is it a very ornate Robert Williams blade but the scales are of very rare elephant bark ivory.
The Louis XIV will be number 1 in my rather large collection forever!Last edited by John Crowley; 10-31-2009 at 12:01 AM.

Very very nice razor, the worked spine is incredible and I just love the long monkey tail, it really compliments the nice big blade. Does it shave as good as it looks?

The Louis XIV
My dear John,
That razor every bit deserves the name Louis XIV which you have bestowed upon it. Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King, packed his opulent court at Versailles with everything magnificent you can think of, from music to art and literature. This razor would have belonged at Versailles.
The more I see of works by Robert Williams the more I am astonished at his eye for beauty. The craftsmanship, of course, speaks for itself. So congratulations for owning this magnificent razor.
And congratulations to Robert Williams for the mastery of his art.
Regards,
Obie

Tres Magnifique !
I could sit here a look at that spine work all day.The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
