Default New razor (pics inside), help me out :)

Hey, I'm putting together a set for my brother, and I got this SR from the bay, it's a Henckels, Zwillingswerk, which I would imagine to make good razors?

    This is a pic:

What do you think? I paid quite a lot for it, imo, I got it for 38 EUR... but it's for my brother and I'm running out of time

What do you lads think? I like the look of it and I won't have to put a lot of time in 'restoring' it (I'm hoping for just a polish & hone) at first sight.

I know their knifes cut damn well, not sure if they make half OK razors.. I just assumed?

Meh... two days untill my B-day, he better got me some nice soap/cream

Any guess on the grind etc... ?

That will be an excellent shaver. No doubt about it.
Looks like a full hollow to me. It's good that the spike point is muted a bit, assuming that your brother is just starting out?

You didn't pay too much for it, €38 is a very good price for a razor of that quality in nearly spotless condition.

Happy Birthday to both of you,
    Bart.

The older Henckels like this one are among my very favorite shavers. I also would say good deal and enjoy!!

That is a nice one, when you say set are you getting together 7 for a custom seven day set, or just a basic starter set to shave with?

    haha
Nono, I mean the set as brush, razor, strop :-)

Now, if he would buy ME a set, I would indeed expect at least a 7 day rotation in there

All the Henckels razors I have, and I have 5 of them, give an outstanding shave. You can't go wrong with a Henckels in good shape.

I definately agree! I have two older 6/8 carbon steel Henckels and they are great razors.
