Default Oh no, rad struck me

For the longest time I was able to resist it...

for 8 years I was using one SR, when I found this place I got another one to practice honing myself instead of having to send it in (after a disaster at the honing shop, fixed by bart later on). Then, last week I fell ill, and figured I'd buy 'a' razor to restore while staying locked in the house. Now I wake up and I forgot all the bids I set out...

The disaster... one henckels (a gift for someone else), one Weltmeister, one Bartmann and three unidentified solingens from a lot (of which one looks like it's a lost cause).

The thing is, how will I ever explain this to my girlfriend when this arrives in the mail the next couple of days/weeks?

Oh darn, and just remembered, I have two silvertip knots arriving as well

Ah yes, and above that, I got a new soap hidden in the bathroom...

    What have I done...

8 years with one single razor. Wow! Talk about RAD resistence.

Tell your girlfriend that those packages are gifts

If you don't want those razors, send them to me for proper disposal, specially the Bartmann.

Hehe... Too bad it didn't strike you earlier, prices were probably much better 8 years ago.

So true, well the new ones had the same price as now (at least the Dovo's, didn't know about all the other stuff you have flying around nowadays) but the second hands are going nuts. But the secret is not to buy the 'what's hot now' razor brand, because it changes about every 6 months here and they seem to dominate the prices on ebay then :-)

Here's the Bart Mann, I couldn't really see on this pic if it's in good condition or not, but here's hoping that it turns out OK

I have no clue what model it is or anything, I faintly recognize 'high class' on the blade, but other than that, no clue. I tried looking up the razor, it seems the spine is worked and that would be a first for me, but it might just be the shadow

I don't have one myself, but I believe at least some of them have a worked back.

And by all accounts they are great razors.

Those look like very nice scales, too. If that ain't Mother of pearl, it's doing a nice imitation.
