Thanked: 4Dovo Astrale
I have seen this razor described by some sources as 1/2 hollow and by others as full hollow. Can anyone here settle this discrepancy in the description?

I have one, and if it is for SURE not a 1/2, I'll see if I take a pic for you tomorrow so you can judge with the pros here.
Fantastic razor however, the best I have, superb shave, but it catches rust quite quickly if you don't pay attention (even if you shave daily with it). But truly fantastic razor.

I think there's only one Dovo available presently that's not full hollow ground. It's this one.The "Classic black".

Pics as promised
It seemed impossible to take a pic of the actual edge, it's very very thin, but the 'gong razor' I have that was extra hollow or something and was a lot more hollow than the dovo. Not that that helps but..Last edited by Jantjeuh; 11-03-2009 at 07:29 AM.

Yeah looking at it, I have to agree now after examining the blade. Odd, I always thought this was quite the hollow blade, but comparing it to others where I'm sure they're full hollow etc... yeah, 1/2 sounds about right. But such an excellent shaver.

Thanked: 37I have an astrale that I purchased new about 20 years ago. I would describe it as somewhere between 3/4 and full hollow. There sounds like there may be some variation between older and newer astrales.
