I'm pretty sure I've seen one kind of like that on the forum a year or so ago. I can't remember who had it though. An odd one for sure.

I'm from Belgium also and I've seen these guys quite often on markets and in antique stores.I'm pretty sure they're quite old, but I was never tempted to buy one. Let us know how it shaves!

As a one handed shaver that razor looks useful for wtg strokes on your opposite side. Your hand would be well above your eyes so you could see what you're doing.

It may not be so; I'm just having a guess at the shape.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

I've seen razors like that before too. IIRC, there is actually a Revisor that has a similar tang/spine to it.

That was my Champion! I sold it here a few months ago. It was from Brussels-Solingen. Had the same profile and was 5/8 with yellowish plastic scales. A real wicked shaver! That drop on the spine made it shave like a much wider blade because of the way you hold it way up above the edge line. But I couldn't get used to it, and I was starting to lean heavily toward wedges and quarter hollows at that time so I let it go. The buyer was in Europe if I remember, so it went back home.

Frankie I can't remember if I was able to see better or not - I'm a one-handed shaver as well (mostly) and have a heck of a time trying to see over/around my hand in spots. So I just learned to go by feel in those areas. I don't think this made much difference because my hand was in a different spot, but only just slightly so. It was certainly unique to use though! Don't know if the blade on the bay now is worth it to anyone, but it's a unique experience by any measure. ...mine came from a seller in Paris though.

There is definitely something cool about it, but I just couldn't see myself ever shaving with it.

So why hasn't anyone bought it at $36 given that at this writing it's still a BIN?
