Thread: Ever seen one of these before?

I picked this up in an antique store this past weekend. It was sitting in amongst a bunch of straights. It made me recall the pictures of the 1500-1600's era razors shown in the "Standard Guide To Razors". I bought it because of this and it was cheap.



It has no markings. Blade appears to be some sort of folded or molted steel or iron with iron fittings and pin. I could of course be very wrong about the materials/construction - just my best guess is all.
