    Default help date this razor

    hi guys. i bought this off of the bay for a very good price. it's a C.F. Shafer made in germany.
    i cant seem to find anything about the date or circa date.
    do you guys have an idea??

    IMO it is hard to date a razor like that . Full hollows began around the 1870s IIRC. Yours looks like it could have been from the 1920s on up. One of the guys with a Goin's cutlery book may be able to find the dates of mfg for the C.F. Shafer Co. but other than that I don't think it is possible to tell. OTOH, I may be wrong. I was wrong once before. Looks like you've got a nice shaver there though.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    When I saw the title I thought maybe you needed a matchmaking service. In which case I would direct you from SRP to eharmony or the like. Though I (don't laugh) met my fiance on facebook freshman year of college.
