Genco Seneca Cheif
So I scored an awesome Genco over the weekend. It's a 5/8 round point (my favorite, although 5/8+ and 6/8 are nice...).
It's almost NOS. It has zero hone wear except for at the heel and the toe it has a little bit (probably from when some barber honed it for a customer), and it had two *tiny* chips. It looks like it's going to be a really comfy shaver, and after I got through bread knifing it (not a lot, just to get the chips off) and taking it through 4k, the test shave was promising (it's got a few more steps to go before I actually shave more than my upper lip with it). Plus, it's still in the 5/8 range, maybe only 1/32 of an inch shorter.
Sadly, I'm not posting pics until later this week, because I've got a new camera on route (FINALLY!), but I couldn't wait that long to ask questions.
The celluloid scales have a picture of a Native American on them and the words Seneca Cheif (as does the box). Does this make it a special Genco, or were the Seneca Cheif razors fairly common?

all gencos are special... i like the old days when razors had what today would be non-pc names... you should try and collect all the different indian tribe razors...
Be just and fear not.
