    Default IT WORKED!

yeah! Now...should I clean this razor with perhaps a silver cleaner? How should I care for it? In all honesty it scares me a wee bit...lol

Wipe it down with a good metal polish suck as Maas or Flitz should shine right up. That is a nice razor and an excellent shaver, have you considered using it for you personnal grooming?

It's true, we have women on here who use straights, and Boker is a well known and well respected brand. The "Go Advanced" button is only necessary if you use the quick reply feature. If you hit post reply it won't be there.

Very nice pictures by the way. They only issues with using heavy duty metal polish is that you will likely lose the gold wash.

You might consider posting a new thread in the section of the forums titled "The Workshop" and seeing what some of the great restore wizards can make of it.

Do note that the silver cleaners might remove the gold plating on the blade. You could use Q-tips to shine around it.

+1 on the Q-tips, I've gone through an entire box since starting this straight razor thing.

I would think early 20th century, the scales (handle) and case are not original to the razor the case would read King Cutter if original.
