    Do note that the silver cleaners might remove the gold plating on the blade. You could use Q-tips to shine around it.

    +1 on the Q-tips, I've gone through an entire box since starting this straight razor thing.

    I would think early 20th century, the scales (handle) and case are not original to the razor the case would read King Cutter if original.

    Well thank you! That is excellent information to have. I will sell this on ebay...would it be alright if I used that information in the listing? Also is it alright to ask what I should set a starting auction price at? Thank you, Liz.

    We don't really talk money here, but if you auction it with no reserve it should do O.K if it cleans up well. You can of course use any info gleaned from us.

    Thank you to everyone who contributed to this, very much appreciated. I think I will sell this as is and leave the cleaning of this razor to someone with more experience than my self. Again, thank you to everyone.
