Yes, you are right about aqua being water. But, we have a product miscommunication problem here that requires we be very explicit.

The label you are looking at is not vaseline or white petrolatum in my opinion. If it is labeled vaseline it is a mislabeled product I believe.
So, I think two statements are applicable here...
(1) Vaseline is very safe to apply to straight razors. And,
(2) Check your vaseline ingredients to ensure it is 100% pure!
