    Default Dovo prima klang question?

I am considering a new straight and would like some feedback on the extra hollow blade. I have a medium to tuff beard just curious to hear from people who have tried them. Thanks!

Sharpness is much more important than grind; fortunately the prima klang will take a very fine edge indeed.

The fuller ground blades will tend to flex more as you use them so you have to be a bit more careful if you have a tough beard.

Something like the Prima Klang may get caught on the beard and then nick you when it springs free. The more wedge like razors will tend to just plough right through the hair.

That said, they will take a very good edge and as long as the razor is honed and you have good prep and technique, you shouldnt have too much of a problem! Just be aware that the blade will flex as you shave so make allowances for it and dont force it!

I am a bit pass newbie but still learning, I have the dovo 6/8 in half hollow and love it but seam to get a better shave from my 5/8 super bismark. I was looking to go either way 7/8 or 5/8 extra hollow to see what I would prefer. I think the prima would shave great but would need very good skill, 7/8 would also be great but I not sure if would be as good? That's why looking for people who actually used the prima or equivilant before putting out the cash. Thanks!
