Default Flying Dutchman by C.S. Bresnick

Has anyone shaved with a Flying dutchman razor? How rare are these razors?

So rare that one went for $15.00 on ebay at around 8PM. I was tempted but I need another razor like I need another hole in my head.

I wouldn't say that. I haven't had one of those but I have a few different Bresnick marked razors and any I have seen were darn good shavers. I don't know how common or uncommon the Flying Dutchman razor is.

No. A rare razor is a rare razor no matter the going price. Same holds true for a "common" razor.

I had asked a question about the dutchman before and some did say it was rare. I have not shaven with mine yet.

I think that rare is one thing and demand is another. A Wonderedge isn't rare but usually fetches a heck of a price IME if it is in decent shape. OTOH, an obscure Solingen marque may be far more uncommon, even rare, and bring very little in an auction.

My remark that the Dutchman brought $15.00 was sort of sour grapes. I had it in my watched items and planned to bid but got distracted. Two that I know of have popped up in the last couple of weeks. They may be the only two extant in the world or there maybe thousands of them out there.
