My first str8 (c.1972)
Just thought I would share a pix of my very first str8.
I picked it up in Salt Lake City sometime in 1972.
With it I picked up a Belgn water stone (yellow Coticule) that is still killer
and a strop I wish I still had not lost in my last move.

You've looked after that! Have you shaved continuously with a straight since then? It seem's uncommon not to have been led astray by other methods occasionally!

Is that the only razor you have? If so, you have more self control than all the members on this board combined.

i swore to myself before i purchased my first razor last month that i would not end up with a collection like the others on this forum. i didn't think there was need for so many razors. guess what happened..................
