General Razor Info
I was hoping that some of you could give me a little insight into these razors. These are the first ones that I have bought, as I am starting to collect them. I was curious about the quality of the manufacturers, thoughts on the condition (are they worth putting time and money into) and if I got a good deal. I went to an antique fair yesterday and bought all 5 for a total of $35.
I was going to add the photos here, but it is easier to just go to the following link: StraightRazors (JAZB Mitchell)
The Clauberg is mostly dirty and in a couple of pics it looks like the silver near the pins are broke, but it is built up green gunk. It has a patent date of Aug. 16, 1892.
The F&B is missing the washer off of one of the pins.
The Garland has reesidue from a sticker on it and had a bunch of rust. I used a little 1000 grit paper to remove it from one side of the blade.
The Torrey (you can't read it in the picture) seems odd that it is so much shorter than the handle.
The Yankee was sanded a little by someone else. It also has some sticker residue on the handle.
Thanks for your input.

None of them are worth keeping. Send them to me immediately for proper disposal.
Just kidding. Nice haul.

Kidding aside, I know Torrey is well thought of. I'm not experienced enough to comment on the rest.

I have also put the pictures in an album in my profile.

Sure are nice and they will all restore up well as most have just surface rusting.
