The Parker 51 and the knife are both mine, but I do have my grandma's Parker Vacumatic that she used to write letters to grandpa while he was stationed in the Philippines during WWII. The weren't married at the time and the letters were pretty juicy for the times.

I don't think so. Few, or none, of my razors are from the really sought after brands on here. I don't think it matters whether or not the blade has markings, it probably just means it's from a time where marking was not required.

Hone it up again. Sometimes those old razors require a bit of imagination to get them going and they prove to be fine shavers.

I have one - a razor I really love but can't get even a mediocre shave out of it. I don't claim to be the best at honing, but I can at least get an edge on my other razors. This one feels like a butter kinife all of the time. Think I'll send it off for a professional job just to see if it can be done.
