I've visiting melbourne for just under a week, was wondering if there are anyone that would be able sharpen my 5/8 Dovo, Very slight niche in the cutting edge near the point.. Willing to pay, if possible same day turn around would be fantastic!

What date you going to be down? I am about 2 hours from Melb but am there for a course next week.

You might do well to check the classifieds services. You could send it someone there:

Oz has honed a razor for me - he's in Sydney.

Even if noone hones in Melbourne you could post your razor interstate and get them to post it to the address you'll be staying at.

I've done one razor for myself - but would you be game to have a newbie hone your razor??????

Also, I think there is a guy goes by the nick of onimaru or something similar here who is up your way from memory. I bought a razor from him a little while ago and was impressed with the edge he put on it. For the sake of postage and waiting a couple days, it might be best to send it out to someone.

As the previous poster said, I am a bit of a newbie to honing so would do it for free if things line up, but have been pretty happy with the shaves i get off my dovos and other razors that I have honed myself.

Oz is the same guy - did a very nice job on my Bleckmann.

Of course, you can also go with Wedwards if that suits you better.
