Looks like it might be a good one. Hard to tell the condition clearly in the photos but if you can ask the seller and the price it right it would probably be a good shaver.

I did think that the razor in the first link was fairly ordinary looking!
Following the correct link, it is interesting. I've seen similar. I believe them to be an early take on the safety razor. Basically, the first step, where some guy decides to put a guard on a straight.

That is weird. Here is a similar but not quite the same razor made by a USA company in the 1920s probably. With this one the guard can be removed and it can be used as a normal straight razor.

Indeed. Although the one in the advertisement seems to be in much better shape. The seller claims it was used by barber students.

I sure don't want it. Otherwise I would have posted it AFTER the sale ...

I'd shave with it if it can hold an edge. The only part that would scare me is if the edge actually resides on the comb, I would be afraid the edge would become chipped even if on a small scale. But, that is just me.

I think it looks pretty neat. Interesting find.

When in September I visited Franco Lorenzi in Milan, the owner the cutlery company in Italy and the owner of the largest collection of shavers in the world. I saw such razors there and such razors, you can find in his book "Rasoi e lame; barbe e baffi".
