a type of razor
this may not be the correct forumn to post this in - but here goes....have any of you folks heard of and/or seen/used something called a "rolling razor"? Rolling Razor - Changing Shaving Forever - for details...I have not ever seen one close up nor have I ever used one or know of anyone who has. I am certain it would not come anywhere close to the level of a straight razor shave - just wondering though....what do yall think???

Thanked: 235Just looks like another cartridge razor with a different handle. And this time they found a way to attach two cartidges so that you have to buy twice as many of the expensive useless things.

Looks like another disposable cartridge razor with a new gimmick handle. Oh and the replacement cartridges are $8 for 4 of em, pricey. Now I'm not one of these SR shavers that is jaded from the disposable industry, but this one seems a bit silly.
Oh and read their FAQ section for a bit of humor...
"Beyond Rolling Razor's unique, proprietary and patented design & technology, it is simply a more natural way to shave."
Later in the FAQ...
"We recommend the use of a high quality lubricant to prevent unnecessary friction and irritation. We suggest using one of our all new, all natural Rolling Razor shaving creams or oils available in both eucalyptus and pomegranate."
Now I don't know ingredients and could be totally wrong but for something all natural (or more natural) it seems their shaving cream has a number of things that I can't pronounce. Someone want to tell me what Polyether -1 is, or how bout HydroxypropylGuar HydroxypropylTrimonium Chloride?

I've heard of them. Some new fangled approach to a DE type razor. Its not something I would ever have any interest in.

false advertising
Yes, it is roundish, more eliptical, but based on purely empirical evidence I would contend that this razor will not roll. And if it will not roll, rendering some means of entertainment, I fail to see what's innovative or useful about it. As others have already commented, looks like just another cartridge razor gimmick. But I'm all for free enterprise so if they can make a buck on it, let 'em go for it. However, I doubt many SRP devotees will be laying out any cash over the holidays for one.

Another variation on the cartridge theme. If it sells, good luck to them. I've moved on though.

They do a nice job at placing them in famous people's hands. My personal fave is the Jonas brothers shot. Way to get a shot of some kids with no viable use for a razor for your ads.

I've carefully read through their web site and spent endless seconds considering how to accurately convey my opinion of this product. So, without further ado, here is my carefully thought out response:
Pffft!
