Class!!!
Some younger members might not know that film, let alone Kirk.
I bought these razors from a UK dealer?
Previously I purchased a TI Shefield silver steel from a reputable US seller.
This razor had very uneven bevel due to warped spine.
I'm sure the seller would have gladly made good with no quibles, but I couldn't be bothered with shipping etc so opted to do some deliberate spine flatening and tons of circles on the stone, I suppose I could have honed on a narrow stone. I have also noticed other minor quality faults on the newer blades, Ive had a wedge pin washer come adrift on my full hollow, the dealer has been very happy to replace the razor.
That said I can't fault the shave performance, that alone makes TI worth the money to me.

Deckard - just to clarify - I do know that some of 'my' Spartacus razors went to US customers, hence what I said. The thing about TI is that they will let only one dealer per country use any one of their blade trademarks at one time, so in the UK mine is 'Spartacus' - in other countries there may well be other dealers using this blade mark. TI blade marks include Spartacus, Wolf & Ram, Durandal, Le Thernois, Bison ("our unrivalled hollow ground"), Zebra, Bijou de France (not usually used by dealers), Solingen Art, Fox & Rooster, Bucephale, The World and Le National.
Hope that clears that up for you!

Ahhh,
You must be who I think you are.???
The razor that was warped was not a spartacus, it was I believe an older TI 7/8 shefield silver steel purchased from the US.
Sorry for confusion, the spartacus brand are much better ground hence my comments.
Thanks for clarification though.

Thanked: 1Question about value of a Spartacus
Was just offered a one year old only used Thiers-Issard 11/16 Spartacus with faux tortoise scales. What do you think it is worth? Can't find anyone in US who sells them.

Last week I bought a very different Spartacus than yours, and it gave me one of the smoothest shaves ever.
It is a TI Spartacus 5/8 full hollow in aluminum scales.
It is a great shaver:

Moderator Note: We do not provide valuations on razors. Finding the price of a new razor still in production is easy on the internet. Prices of used items vary greatly from person to person and day to day. In the end it is worth what you are comfortable paying for it.

Thanked: 1The one I purchased was originally bought at Fendrihan - Classic Wet-Shaving, Leather Wallets and Gifts For Men, incredibly sharp, even light pressure gives me a cut. No quality problems though.
