Trying to find info on a razor
Hi all I am sort of stuck as I have a razor in my posetion that I cannot find any information about!
It has no marks on the blade but the tang has a little man holding a fish as you will see in the picture and next to that STESONS SPECIAL. The other side reads made in germany.
What a little gem it is as it shaves wonderfully.
Any info would be great its 5/8ths

Hi,
Judging from the logo, your razor was probably made by the Paul Kohl Fisher Works of Solingen, Germany. Sorry, but I can't help you with dates of production.
Regards - Walt

Cool !! I retired from Stetson University and live on Stetson street, and wear a John B Stetson hat. You can just send that one to me. Thanks, LOL Mack

That is indeed a Paul Kohl Fisher Works razor. There were two slightly different versions of the man holding a fish trademark, but both were his. I don't know the Paul Kohl timeline either, but he was in Solingen. I have to tell you that they are FANTASTIC shavers when properly honed. I have three and don't plan to part with any of them!

Thanked: 3164T S Kaye was a tool merchant in Pasture Road, Goole, 1937. Like other entrepreneurs he probably requested a shipment of razors with his name on the tang - not at all uncommon then, nor now.
BTW, no idea who "Stesons" were, but it hasn't got the extra "T" to make it into a hat!
Regards,
Neil
