    Default Markings

    I was just wondering why all these razors that are marked Solengen and Germany have names in english like sometimes they say "our best" or something like that? They were made a long time ago when it was likely that not many countries spoke english. Were they made for shipment to the US?

    Yes. The ones marked Germany are obviously for the US (German would be Deutschland), and my guess is that the ones marked Solingen are marked that for marketing reasons (like today)
