Thread: Giant Razors?

I found three; maybe you missed the 17/16 W&B here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/srpwi...s_Use%22_17/16
I shave with a 9/8. It's just big enough to give me a little trouble directly under my nose - 8/8 doesn't give me trouble there though.
There are bigger though. Some vintage 10/8 blades are floating around out there, and tjiscooler found an 11/8 Wostenholm. There are also larger customs like others have mentioned including Josh Earl's famous 12/8 from Bill Ellis.
But these are not truly large. There are a handful of giants like the 2 foot Henckels Sham saw on eBay awhile back. Here's a big one Lynn posted from a shaveworld meeting:

Thanked: 3OMG! That is one huge razor! And those Henckles were nothing to sniff at either (were they really horse razors, or display ones like this?). They put the idea of a 12/8 razor being large to shame, lol. I can not help but think of the line from Crocodile dundee "That's not a knife, THIS is a knife"
