Gifting a Razor to my Brother
So, I have a brother in the military that I've decided to gift a Gold Dollar razor to. I got it from a SRP member here, and I honed it and test shaved with it this morning. To be honest, it was really smooth (almost made me rethink my decision to give it to him). I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm going to give him a strop, Semogue 1305 brush, and some soaps... I have no idea if he will take to the idea of straight razors or not, but I figured it was worth a shot.
Have any of you had any luck converting guys like this? Also, I'm going to tell him that I want it back if he doesn't want it

I've yet to convert anyone to straights that wasn't already interested it in, but he may me interested without you knowing. I've given away a few DE's and SE's, but I don't think they're getting any use. If you can give your a brother a good "intro to lathering," he may at least use a decent lather with whatever it is he calls a "razor." ;-p
