    Question It's my first straight...

I've just received this realy nice razor for chrismas and it's my first it's a union cut co. Olean NY. I want to know a bit more of this razor and do you think it is good enough to be hone, the blade is immaculate. Need to do a bit of repair at the pivot pin other than that it loooks good.

    Thanks!

Union Cutlery is a good name. They have a long history, they are also the company that made KA-BAR knives. It is a good razor and worthy to be honed for sure. Those amber colored scales are beautiful too. Very nice razor.

By the way. It had to be made in 1909 or after as that is the year Union Razor changed their name to Union Cutlery Co.

Oooh, very nice. Make sure to have the pivot pin replaced before you try to use her. Looks like just a piece of wire that is bent over.

Lovely looking scales on that. I'd send it away to have it repinned and honed by a pro before attempting to use it.

    Cool Union Cut Co.

Union Cut co. at Olean NY manufactured razors between 1911-1919. You bet is worth restoring it!!
