Dovo Red Bone Scale Dye?
Hey guys, we'll recently received my Dovo Genuine Red Bone straight from SRD...Shaved, all went well. But I noticed the dye coming off a bit while shaving, it did seem to stop...I believe this is normal for it being a dye, whats everyone's opinion on the matter? Experience in general with dyed bone? Thanks guys.

Thanked: 4942I think most of the dyes on the bone are pretty much the same. My concern is that you are getting the handle wet when shaving which is not a good thing. Normally it is best to just rinse the blade or wipe the lather off as you go and then dry it off when done. Moisture on and in the scales will initially cause a little color bleed, but more importantly will stain the blade and cause rust.
Have fun,
Lynn

Yea it did get a bit wet, I figured the dye would hold a bit more, but thanks again, I appreciate it.
