Sperry Alexander & Co. "The King"
Just curious if anyone here could enlighten me with more info on a razor I came across recently (pictures below). The tang reads "Sperry Alexander & Co., New York, Germany" which I assume to indicate a German-made blade for a NY-based reseller. Other side reads "The King" (ironic for a small'ish razor). Uniclectica lists Sperry & Alexander in business in New York between 1893-1927, but that's about all I could turn up.
The blade is roughly 9/16", half-hollow, with fairly generic ivory-colored bakelite scales. Nice weight to it; still undecided what I'll do to this one...

SPERRY & ALEXANDER c 1893-1927. A "Centaur" is stamped on the back of the tang. This importer was in New York City, and Robert J. Alexander was manager. The usual marking was "S&A" New York".
Happy holidays!
