Default Henkel co. fremont ohio/ OLD can't find one like

    Hi all,
I'm new here and joined after stumbling onto this site searching for info on my Grandpas old straght razor. Still have the box it came in with a sticker explaining about the Henkel company, Fremont Ohio using S&C Wardlow steel from England being hand forged etc. Have searched everywhere and cannot find any that look like this one. I did see one similar by the same company but the handles (scales?) are different as well as the handle bolsters(handle holders) are different. This one is I would guess in excellent condition with the box. anyone have any info or do I need to post a pic??
Coulda possibly been Great Grandads before Grandpas judging by the date info I could find on the company. This one won't be for sale just wondered about the scarcity of this thing. I was shocked that the box was still intact and legible.
thanks, y'all got a nice forum here looks like

Welcome to the SRP community. Pics would be nice, everyone here likes to look at razor pics. Do you plan to shave with that razor? If so it would be really cool to shave with something handed down. If it needs work there are a lot of very skilled members here that can do wonders to a razor, just check out Member Services in the classifieds.
Personally I never heard of the company but I also have razors that no one has heard of, like Dubbers (with two dots above the letter U) and John Williams Damascus. As far as info you might contact Steve at Introduction to razors. I was referred to him by a member here to find approx. manufacture dates of my three John Williams Damascus razors and he informed me they were not listed in any literature he had so they would be considered extremely scarce. Al three are excellent shavers so I will be passing them to my grandson along with some others.
    Hope this helps......good luck!

Welcome to SRP. Please post a photo and maybe a member can give you more info. There is a razor data base in the SRP Wiki where you may find a photo of one like yours here.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
