Question about a "Gold Medal"
I just got a razor for Christmas along with the nessesary supplies. The razor has Gold Medal etched in the blade with a pearloid handle. Anyone know anything about this razor? It didn't come ready to shave, and I'm having a hell of a time getting it sharp...

Sorry.
Don't waste your time or money. This blade should made in china and near wedge blade. I think they call it box cutter not real straight razor.
i hope you will read wiki and see what razor's to avoid for your next purchase. i am not sure this one is in there but it belongs to avoid list.
Problem is This people makes more razor's with different names faster then people could update wiki.
Seems like they change names every day.
hope this helps

there's no doubt it will be, it's an actual razor meant for shaving when that was the reason razors were produced.
these days on ebay there are a lot of so called razors that are pure junk only suitable for decoration.
