I picked up a Joseph Elliot at an Antique store today. It appears to be a full wedge 7/8 or 8/8. The Tang had a cross with a "C" and says "Joesph Elliot /S Best Silver Steel."

I am not sure if the scales are original but one side says Joseph Elliot Sheffield and the other says Congress Razor. As far as condition, it look pretty good. The blade has a nice patina. Maybe just a few spots of corrosion. No pits. IT shows very very little hone wear.

Can anyone help me date this razor and also let me know if I got a good deal? It was $24.00.
