    I have absolutely no technical knowledge with this subject, metals or even basic scientific concepts - but from experience using one blade for months on end and then rotating and noticing an intriguing difference in the blade's performance my theory is, (drum-role), there is a little more growth on the edge of the blade over two days which is then polished by stropping and effectively performs as if the blade had been given a few laps on crox.

    This theory may or may not be correct - but you'll notice that if you strop it more than a given number of times the advantage of leaving it for a couple of days seems to disappear, which I assume is because you are removing the growth rather than just polishing it.
    I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

    I've got my old lady convinced they need to rest at least 40 days after use, This is why I need so many razors.
