Thread: Wade and Butcher etch " Land of the Free Home of the Brave....Eagle... America Fights

Hi guys... My friend has a razor given to him by his Grand father.... its a wade and butcher and I'm trying to help him research what he has be given....

Of course me... being and obvious expert with a whole 3 months of experience on SRP.... is doing the right thing and asking all of you how you would evaluate this razor...

I told him.. that's a hell of a meat cleaver and it looks to be in great shape for its age... today he writes me that he has noted some etching that he hadn't previously paid attention to... there is an Eagle... and one side says Land of the free home of the brave...their is etching on the other side of the razor as well

can anyone tell me what he has here and if there are some better pics somewhere...to help us figure out exactly what the faded etching says. Should he just leave it alone??? or can he restore it to some better condition safely or should he...etc..

without pics, nobody can properly assess the razor.

Yup, pics would help indeed. Also, I don't think I've ever seen a razor with etching on both sides, so I'm very curious.

Soon as I get the pics from him I'll post them..... maybe I'm wrong about the both sides... he was talking about his razor and one that he saw online that was like it ... I could have gotten info wrong... but... Land of the free home of the brave is there for sure......maq
