Thanked: 17razor identification
bought a razor from the antique store today! It is has waterville cutlery conn - on the tang. It also has bone scales a slightly smiling blade with a barbers notch and "Diadem" etched into the blade with a banner around it. the blade is in great shape small amount of pitting, but none on the edge. The scales have a slight chip in them where they connect to the tang. I paid 13 dollars for it, they were asking 22 it even came in the original box. How much is this thing worhth, and is it a very good brand/model? I will post pics soon.

Welcome to SRP!
We don't do valuations here at SRP, by policy, but it sounds like a good razor. Most any vintage blade you find will be a good shaver, especially in as fine condition as you have described.

Thanked: 17Thanks for the heads up. Why is price discussion not allowed? Seems kind of weird to me. The razor honed up great and gives amazing shaves. It has a lot thicker blade than I am used to. The bone handles are particularly nice!
